I want a thermometer or general home monitor that can either connect to another machine in the home for logging/reporting/viewing or to the smartphone. I don't need (or want) it to have integration with a thermostat, just the monitoring capabilities.

I've tried Googling it, but either Google or I am lacking at getting the right results.

Some of the SmartThings sensors have thermometers built in. For sure the motion detector and door/window sensors do.
