What do you guys thinking about portforwarding. I know it's not that safe, but would really help me out if I port foward devices and use a DDNS to connect to my house when I'm not home. Any ideas?

Port forwarding is never really 'safe', however, it is handy when trying to do things like you said above. Let's be honest, most people aren't going to scan your WAN IP or DDNS and try to find an open port just to hack into your house. It just probably won't happen, but is very possible. You can do a lot of things once you're on a network too. It will make you vulnerable, but nothing will happen most likely.
